Dale Earnhardt Jr. Crashes Out Of Texas Race In Giant Fireball (VIDEO)



Dale Earnhardt Jr. was quickly knocked out of contention in Monday's rain-delayed Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway after his No. 88 Chevrolet clipped the grass on the track’s front straightaway and then slammed into a wall.







The impact immediately caused the car to burst into flames, and debris from the incident damaged the No. 48 car driven by Jimmie Johnson, according to Fox Sports.







Fortunately, Earnhardt was able to steer the car to safety and exit it unharmed. Always the gentleman, he claimed the incident was his mistake and quickly tweeted an apology to his fans as well as to the No. 48 team.
